what happens to the ending

the ending was a very hard ending to understand. to me it didn't make sense at all and what i wanted to know was what holden was going to do in the end.

Between Holden and Allie and Phoebe there was a strong bond between them all. Holden was always liked the way his brother and his sister wanted to grow up. But then he always wanted to have someone in his life like his sister that would understand him and he also liked the way his brother wrote into the glove when he shared that with everyone. That was understanding.

i think that this means that if a person is in a field of wheat than he is going to try to catch the other person "who is running off of the edge" then he will try to catch them on hi own accord

holden was calling stradlater names for no reason and was acting very childish
